Heat up your hot water with solar
We can install Solar energy diverters, which work by diverting your excess solar generation into your hot water cylinder/immersion tank.
The Solar energy diverter works exactly like a battery storage system, but it’s not electricity you’re going to be storing, you will be storing hot water.

The UK government is more committed than ever to providing financial incentives for anyone who upgrades their homes or businesses to solar energy. Solar energy guarantees you lower electricity bills than you pay now, or even no electricity bills at all!

By installing a battery storage system, you will be able to capture your excess solar generation during low demand periods, like for example, during the day whilst you’re at work, as peak Solar generation periods are in the middle of the day. You then can draw the energy stored in the battery to power your home or business at high-demand periods, without the need of importing costly electricity from the grid.

Electric vehicles (EVs) and home solar generation go hand in hand. If you have an electric car, charging it at home is most likely to be your cheapest and most convenient option. But EVs drain a lot of electricity when charging, so you really do want to be able to have your own source of cheap, renewable electricity. Solar panels are often the best answer.

Does the direction of my roof matter when installing Solar Panels?
South facing roofs are always the optimum orientation, but don’t worry! You can still install panels on East & West facing roofs as losses are very minimal. North facing roofs can still achieve generation, even though it is worst orientation.
Are there any grants available?
There are grants available to homeowners.
There are two grants that may help you buy solar panels for your home: the Energy Company Obligation scheme (ECO4) and the Home Upgrade Grant.
In addition, there is a 0% VAT rate on Solar/Battery installs and there’s the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) paying you for any energy you don’t use.
Is my roof strong enough to install Solar Panels?
Not all roofs can take the additional weight of the solar panels, this is why we always carry out a structural survey report on your property, to ensure that the roof is structurally sound as well making sure that the overall condition of your roof is good enough to fit solar panels.
